§ 34.46. Appeals by employees.

  • (a)

    Any employee of classified status who shall be, as a result of disciplinary action, suspended without pay, demoted, or discharged shall, for a period of five business days after such suspension or discharge, have the right to appeal such suspension, demotion, or discharge to the civil service appeals board for a hearing. The board shall, at the request of such employee, require the attendance of any employee or employees designated as witnesses.

    (b)

    Appeals shall be instituted by the employee in accordance with the system established by the board and the provisions of this subchapter.
