§ 91.02. Exceptions.

  • (a)

    This chapter shall not apply in cases of emergency where any condition of the aircraft or its occupants makes further operation of the aircraft a hazard to the health of the pilot, passengers, or to the surrounding area.

    (b)

    The following aircraft are excepted: aircraft operated by the state highway patrol, the county sheriff's department, the state game and freshwater fish commission, or any other authorized law enforcement agency in the normal pursuit of their duties.

    (c)

    Under certain conditions, permission may be granted by the city manager or chief of police for helicopters to land for specific events.

    (d)

    Aircraft shall not be prohibited from landing during medical emergencies.
