§ 92.08. Quarantine of animals suspected of rabies.

  • When a domestic pet has bitten an individual, or an animal control officer suspects a domestic pet as being rabid, the domestic pet shall, upon written notice by and at the direction of an animal control officer, be securely quarantined. Should the owner fail to comply with such quarantine, the animal control officer shall immediately impound the domestic pet and quarantine it at the expense of the owner. The domestic pet shall be kept quarantined until released.
