§ 156.002. Authority and Purpose.

(A)

This chapter, together with all future amendments is adopted pursuant to the authority granted by F.S. ch. 177 and the Charter of the City.

(B)

The purpose of this chapter is to protect the public health, safety and general welfare and to promote good planning practice while allowing for cost saving efficiencies.

(C)

The provisions in this chapter shall be administered to ensure orderly growth and development and shall supplement and facilitate the provisions in the master or comprehensive plan, zoning ordinance, official map and capital budget.
